Veronica Ferraiuoli Hornedo, Efficiency Coordinator, presented the third report of the Deregulation and Administrative Efficiency Initiative (IDEA) to Governor Jenniffer González-Colón, a report outlining progress in regulatory simplification, digital service modernization, and interagency coordination.

Governor Jenniffer González-Colón signed Senate Bill 923 into law, clarifying that, for purposes of subsections (g) and (h) of Article 93 of the Puerto Rico Penal Code, Article 92 of the Act defines the term “human being” to include the conceived unborn at any stage of gestation within the mother’s womb.

Governor Jenniffer González-Colón today signed Executive Order 2026-006 establishing the Multisector Task Force for Fair and Equitable Federal Healthcare Funding, an initiative aimed at addressing Puerto Rico’s longstanding disparities in federal healthcare funding and strengthening the sustainability of the Island’s healthcare system ahead of upcoming Medicaid negotiations.
