The Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration (PRFAA) announced today that farmers in Puerto Rico will be eligible to participate in the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) new Farmer Bridge Assistance Program (FBA), totaling $12 billion.

Recognizing that strong reading skills are essential to human capital development, opening the door for today’s students to thrive, compete, innovate, and succeed, Governor Jenniffer González-Colón joined fellow governors at the invitation of former President George W. Bush to participate in the Governor’s Reading Forum.

The bill authorizes $901 billion for national defense, representing an increase of $8 billion over the previous year’s levels. The NDAA codifies 15 executive orders issued by President Donald Trump, secures U.S. borders,including $1 billion authorized to combat drug trafficking, and includes provisions to counter adversaries such as China, Russia, Iran and North Korea.
