The bill signed into law by President Trump includes important projects supported by Governor González-Colón

The Puerto Rico Federal Affairs Administration (PRFAA) announced today that the U.S. Department of Education has launched the Presidential 1776 Award, a nationwide competition open to all states and territories designed to strengthen knowledge of civics, history, and the principles that founded our nation, as part of the commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the United States.

The Permitting System Simplification Task Force, created under Executive Order 2025-002, presented its Final Report to Governor Jenniffer González-Colón, outlining a comprehensive reform of Puerto Rico’s legal, operational, and technological permitting framework with the goal of streamlining processing times and modernizing oversight.
